Rent-A-Center Franchisee of the Year - CTRTO, LLC. supports Maryland Habitat for Humanity

March 22, 2016

Aberdeen, MD--Rent-A-Center Franchisee CTRTO, LLC has donated $10,000 to the Susquehanna, MD Chapter of Habitat for Humanity in memory of RAC's longtime Aberdeen store manager, the late McKinley "Kenny" Price.

"Kenny had a distinguished career in the business spanning over 30 years" with Rent-A-Center and ColorTyme, in Maryland and Massachusetts, said RAC Franchise Owner Scott McHale. "He was well-known and loved in the Aberdeen community; in fact, he was born and raised a mile from the store he led."

A locally-owned family business with more than 40 employees, CTRTO operates six RAC stores in Aberdeen and Elkton MD; Smyna, DE; and Boothwyn, PA.

"We chose to partner with Habitat for Humanity because they build and provide affordable housing to families and assist them in owning their homes," McHale said. "Since RAC's flexible payment options enable families to own the things they need for inside their homes, it's a natural fit."

With coworkers' help, McHale added, "CTRTO's donation is being used to build a house in Aberdeen and help local families achieve the dreams that they thought impossible—something Kenny worked to achieve throughout his career."
